jade

vast jade
books of fallen leaves red eating green

a rusty door hinge slams shut
         ivy growing up
      lines, stretches

          a pretty face a smile
               metal
           a drop of chocolate

  black white gray red

                jade

i fall off the diving board
         splash
         dreamt bubbles
      foward
backward

    rattling and chiming
       of a leaf
of a fallen leaf left on the ground
 a black veil
rows of nuns
      gathering up crimson fire leaves
          into white wicker baskets

 the taste of umber
  a queue of trunks
   the last raindrops of sun
    leaving imprints on eyes

jade

gargoyles
an intricate ballet of marble and crumble
a valentine dropped into the claws
      of the largest
"you're my other half" it says in olive
"my soulmate" it adds in cyan
"i love you" it says in pine
"forever" it says in lime
      "sweet dreams" it finishes
                          in jade

silver shoelaces
sugarpop massages
   rainbows and candy rain

the gemini hold hands
      step off the stage
         and kiss each other goodnight
